Congratulations go out to Army Specialist and Clark University lacrosse captain Sam Johnson ’08 for receiving Clark’s Reed Powell Award for perseverance, bravery, emotional strength, physical fortitude, and courage. A former Big Red post-graduate student who played both football and lacrosse at the Academy, Johnson spent most of 2011 in the Khost Province of Afghanistan as part of a Provincial Reconstruction Team while serving in the Massachusetts Army National Guard. Once named the “Warrior of the Week” for his efforts, Johnson returned to Clark in time for the 2012 season and walked at yesterday’s graduation!
