We’ve launched our very first summer fundraising campaign!!!
We’re excited that our mission to provide free/subsidized lessons has grown significantly, and we’re now ready to take it to the next level with your support.
We’re raising $50,000 for music lesson scholarships by August 31. Here’s how you can help.
💪SO FAR...
Since starting in 2018, our scholarship program has nearly doubled every year. Our first year, we gave less than $1,000 in scholarship lessons. This year, we are on track to give $15,000! And we couldn't be more excited that so many people are joining The Coop community.

🤟WHY WE’VE DONE IT
Music is a safe space. A third space. A place to be your full, artistic, weird, bright self, and we pride ourselves on being a safe space for our LGBTQ+ community. We don't see music as a luxury. It’s a priority. And we want it accessible to everyone.
📈OUR CURRENT GOALS
We’ve set a $50,000 fundraising goal by August 31, 2025.
---> The first $15,000 will be allocated to our scholarship fund and used to cover all discounted and scholarship lessons for one year.
---> If we hit our first goal of $25,000, we will reduce the cost of lessons for everyone by $1.
---> If we hit our second goal of $35,000, we will reduce the cost of lessons for everyone by $2.
---> Anything over $35,000 will stretch the amount of time before we have to have another fundraising event. Our goal is, with that amount, to not fundraise again until at least 2027.
ℹ️Most people who can afford it donate $1,500. That amount pays for one scholarship student to get free music lessons for 1 year.
The average donation is $200 but we’d be grateful for any donation you feel comfortable with.
