Math Tutoring

Not satisfied with your student's math grade? If your student attends Eagan High School, schedule one on one math tutoring sessions during your student's study hall and make the best use of their study hall time. Sessions are held in the guidance office. Email me at [email protected] to schedule sessions. Spots are filling up!

It isn't too early to think about the ACT offered nationally on Saturday, April 13. To help your student(s) prepare for the exam, consider registering them for my ACT prep course. Classes begin Sunday, March 3, so register soon!

In the ACT prep course we will:

- review the content on the tested subjects of English, math, reading, science, and writing

- learn specific strategies in order to improve test scores on each subject tested on the ACT

The following class dates make up the complete ACT prep course: 3/3, 3/10, 3/17, and 4/7. Classes are held on Sundays from 4:00-7:30.

ACT Prep
Attention all parents of juniors:

The December 11, 2021 ACT test is a great exam to take because it is the next opportunity for students to purchase the exam they took, the correct answers, and their answers. This option is called TIR (test information release) and is only offered on the December, April (national exam, not the free exam given at EHS during the school day) and June exams. The TIR is extremely helpful when students are preparing to take future ACT exams.

Consider helping your student prepare for the December ACT exam by registering for my in person ACT Prep classes held at ArtWorks in Eagan.

In the classes we will:

- review the content of the tested subjects of English, math, reading, science, and writing

- learn specific strategies in order to improve test scores on each subject tested on the ACT

Classes for the December 11 ACT exam are:

Upcoming Seniors:

It isn't too late to take the ACT. Increasing your score on the September and/or October ACT exam could increase your chances of getting into a particular college or increase your scholarship dollars.

Kelly's ACT Prep Course will cover:

* the content on the tested subjects of math, science, English, reading, and writing

* specific strategies (including timing strategies) needed to improve scores on each subject tested

There are two more tests juniors can take before their senior year begins - June 8 and July 13. The June exam is a great exam to take because it is a TIR exam. This means that for $20 to the ACT, students can order a copy of the test they took, the correct answers, and their answers. The July exam is ideal for students who find it difficult to study for the ACT during the school year due to sports, activities, and homework.

Attention Sophomores in Honors Algebra 2:

The June and July ACT exams are ideal to take because Algebra 2 will be fresh in your head. To prepare for the test, consider taking my ACT review course.

ACT review course:

Review the content of the tested subjects of English, math, reading, science, and writing. Learn specific strategies in order to improve test scores in each subject.

Classes held before the June 8 exam begin Saturday May 4 and are held at the Rasmussen Business College in Eagan. Dates for the remaining classes are May 11, May 18, and June 1. Classes take place from 9:00-12:00 each Saturday.

Classes before the July 13 exam will be held Monday, June 24 - Thursday, June 27 from 4:30-7:30.

There will also be a week of classes held in August for students taking the September and/or October exam.

Hello EHS families,

EHS final exams will be held Wednesday, March 6 and Thursday, March 7. Please consider registering your student for one of my math final review sessions. We will spend 1 1/2 hours reviewing the chapters that will be included on your student's final exam and working through many review problems. Extra practice is the most effective way to prepare for any math exam. Make sure your student is getting the practice they need to do well on the math final.
