Twas the night before school, when all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even the mouse.

The backpacks were hung by the front door with care, in hopes that tomorrow, the bus soon’d be there.

For teachers with patience, for friendships brand new, for laughter, for learning, for dreams to come true.

For childhood moves quickly, the years seem to fly, each first day a reminder how fast time goes by.

So here’s to tomorrow, the start of it all,
big steps for all the kiddos though they’re no longer small.

May they shine in the classroom, stand tall and stand true,

Happy first day of school, we’re so proud GO TIGERS!

Don’t forget back to to school night tomorrow! 5-6:30pm.
SOS will be stationed right near the cafeteria with lots of goodies! Including:
📚YEARBOOKS from 2025-2026: what this mean’s
- [ ] if you ordered one last year stop by the table give your name and collect your year book.
- [ ] 5th grade parents from last year, if you are not coming back to Elkhorn for a sibling, we will make sure if your kiddo gets there’s at the middle school on the first day.
- [ ] please give a round of applause to our new principal Mr. Younts and Amber, without them we would not have gotten this project over the finish line 👏.
🖤Thank you all for your patients.
💌- We will have a letter writing station for you to write your student some encouragement for the first day of school!
🐯 A chance to sign to read the mission statement and sign up to receive emails about meeting, and volunteer opportunities as a member. We can’t do anything without parent involvement.

The Excelsior Springs School District is excited to welcome students and families to our Back-to-School Resource Fair!

📅 Tuesday, August 18
🕓 4:00–5:30 p.m.
📍 Excelsior Springs Middle School

This event is open to Excelsior Springs School District students and is designed to help families prepare for a successful start to the school year.

Families will have access to:
📚 School supplies
💙 Mental health and wellness resources
🤝 Information from community organizations and support services

We look forward to seeing our Tiger families as we kick off another great school year. We hope you'll join us for an evening of resources, support, and preparation for the year ahead!

Fifth grade celebration last week was fun! They had hotdogs, chips and cookies and then off to the field they went! The kids had a great time mingling with kids from all the elementary schools! Next stop middle school! 🖤💛🖤💛

We are still looking for a few more 5th grade parents to help with the 5th grade celebration on May 8th.

The 5th graders will be having a celebration with all the 5th graders in the district at the high school on May 8th from 12-1:30. We will be serving hotdogs, chips, drinks and cookies out of the concession stand. The kids will also be hanging out on the field and playing games. We will need help ser...
