Congratulations to Mariah Schmelzle ’21 and Joseph Landeira ’21 on their marriage on May 23, 2026 at the Conservatory at the Sussex County Fairgrounds in Augusta, New Jersey!

The two met as freshmen in a 2017 TCNJ engineering seminar, then later bonded junior year over study sessions and late-night Wawa runs. After staying connected through pandemic FaceTime study sessions and text, the pair started dating senior year, and the rest is history. Now engineers in the Philadelphia area, they’ve spent post-grad life conquering graduate school, career pivots, marathon training, and every adventure in between.

Hang up the apron—TCNJ Alumni Homecoming is bringing the flavor! We’ve lined up top local food trucks so you can skip the cooking and just catch up with friends.
Plus, hit the Beverage Tent for on tap b**r & c***r, and canned cocktails!
Propane grills are welcome on-site for those who prefer to cook, (but our food trucks might make you reconsider!).
Good food, cold drinks, and your favorite Lions. Tag your crew below and lock in your plans! Register for Homecoming today: https://alumnihomecoming.tcnj.edu/

Jennifer Silverstrov-Guarini ’03 shares her “Why” for joining the Alumni Association Board! 🦁
Get a glimpse into Jennifer’s experience serving on the board, from planning Alumni Association events to connecting with fellow Lions and helping bring alumni back home to TCNJ.

Here’s more about Jennifer’s “Why” —
“[It’s about] spending time talking about and representing one of my favorite places - TCNJ. As an Alumni Association Board Member, I get to plan engagement events for our Alumni and look for ways to bring our Alumni home to TCNJ to create new memories post graduation.

I've had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful TCNJ and TSC Alumni doing amazing things out in the world. I've gotten to network with Alumni from many decades and hear stories about their time at TCNJ, their memories and history including what going to the School meant to them. I've been able to attend some exclusive events and be in the know about what TCNJ is doing.”

Interested in joining the Alumni Association Board? Applications open in November!
