Aloha Holomua Ohana!

Another special 'Ohana Fair event is officially in the books. Thank you to our dedicated teachers, staff, parents, community partners, volunteers and alumni who participated in Friday's
'Ohana Fair.

This annual event truly comes alive through the relationships we have built both past and present. Let’s not forget the talk-story moments we share when we come together reconnecting and building anew. We hope everyone enjoyed the food, games, and the wonderful memory-making moments throughout the event.

Events like Friday's are possible because of everyone's generosity. When others ask what makes this tradition successful, it's about seeing our students and their families together, retired staff returning to keep this tradition alive, teachers' own family members pitching in at the drop of a dime, alumni reconnecting with their former teachers- their origins of lifelong learning, and the community partners who stand by what Holomua Elementary is all about. Thank you for showing up for our students and for making Friday’s Ohana Fair ultra special.

A huge mahalo to everyone who participated in our Panda Express fundraiser last Thursday!

Because of your incredible support, we raised over $600 from supporters across Hawaiʻi, Illinois, and Colorado! 🎉 Your generosity helps support our students and school programs, and we truly appreciate everyone who participated.

Thank you for making this fundraiser such a success. We are grateful for our amazing school community!

Please see the attached letter regarding an off-campus incident that occurred near our school this morning. All students are safe, and the Honolulu Police Department was notified. We encourage families to review the included safety reminders with their children.

Before the hustle and bustle begins, let us pause to remember the 2,977 victims of the September 11 attacks in New York, at the Pentagon and in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

Thank you for taking a moment of silence as well to honor the rescue workers who sacrificed in the recovery efforts.
