🌟Congratulations to this amazing student on a successful Suzuki book one recital!🌟

She has been taking piano lessons with me for about 4 years and has navigated all the complexities of this first book in the Suzuki literature like a champ, learning to play with a beautiful tone, graceful technique, and expression. 💗🎶

Where do I even start with piano practice? 🎹

Whether you're a parent helping your child practice for the first time or you're an adult beginner learning to play yourself, getting started at home can feel a little overwhelming.

How long should you practice?
What should you work on first?
What if you don't have much time?
And how do you make sure practice actually leads to progress?

The good news is that effective practice doesn't have to mean hours at the piano. In fact, some of the best habits begin with just a few intentional minutes.
In my newest blog post, I'm sharing my Top 6 Piano Practice Tips for Beginners, including ways to:
🎵 Build a consistent practice habit
🎵 Make the most of a short practice session
🎵 Create a practice routine that actually fits your life
🎵 Know what to work on first
🎵 Stay focused on quality rather than simply checking off "practice"
🎵 Keep piano enjoyable while still making progress

Whether you're supporting a budding young pianist or finally learning the piano you've always wanted to play, these tips can help you start with confidence. 💜
You don't have to practice perfectly. You just have to start.

Join us for the next Music for Littles session at Tuffy's Playhouse! Not only are these classes a lot of fun and great for developing minds and bodies, but they are also supportive of different learning needs.

Here's what one family said about last session:

"Ms Alyssa has been wonderful during our Music & Movement classes with my two young boys!... My eldest has sensory difficulties and becomes easily overstimulated, and she's been so welcoming and accommodating throughout the group classes allowing us to re-regulate and join in when he's able... I highly recommend her classes. I am so happy I exposed my boys to foster a love of music early on (2.5yo and 14mo)."
