Now, more than ever, we must teach peace…not just as an idea, but as an actual practice.

Maria Montessori believed peace begins with the child. She was right.

Through storytelling, curiosity, independence, and compassion, our children are learn to lead with empathy.

In a world that feels heavy with conflict, we ask: How do we possibly move forward now?

The answer lies within. And as adult educators, we must continue to take action. We must continue to teach what peace looks like and feels like.

💛 Peace begins in the heart of every child.

💛 And it must be nurtured, modeled, and taught…every single day by the people they know, love, and trust.

This is, and always has been, the important work we do at MSE.

Our next community outreach event is coming up: FREE Wind Chime Art Class for Ages 4–6!

Calling all little artists and craft lovers! Join us after school on Wednesday, May 7th at MSE for a fun and FREE wind chime art class with MSE’s amazing art teacher, Joni!

Kids will paint and decorate a terra cotta pot and string beads to create a beautiful hanging wind chime - perfect for springtime or a sweet Mother’s Day gift!

Details:
Who: Kids ages 4–6 (open to the entire Evergreen Community!)
When: Wednesday, May 7th | 4-5 PM
Where: Montessori School of Evergreen - Marshdale Campus

What an unforgettable adventure in France! 🇫🇷 Our middle school students had the chance to navigate the Paris Metro, visit iconic landmarks like the Champs-Élysées, Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame, and the Louvre, and even try escargot for the first time! 🥖🎨 They stood in awe at the Eiffel Tower, cruised down the Seine River, and learned history firsthand at the D-Day beaches in Normandy. From exploring the medieval streets of Mont Saint-Michel to tasting oysters in Saint-Malo, every moment was filled with discovery and wonder. 🌍🦪We are so grateful for the opportunities our school offers to experience global history and culture like this. These memories will last a lifetime, and we couldn’t be prouder of how our students embraced every moment, exemplified grace and courtesy at every turn, and represented our MSE Community. Middle school is special here ♥️.

⛷️Dressing up is half the fun when you have an auction theme as rad as ‘80s Aprés Ski!

Classic ‘80s slope style was all about electric prints, neon brights, stonewashed jeans, and attention-grabbing one-pieces. We’ll have gnarly prizes for the best aprés-dressed guests in several categories, so get those scrunchies and shoulder pads out! Event tickets at the link in bio.

🍣 Calling all young sushi enthusiasts! 🍣

Our spring Evergreen Community Outreach classes are back again!

We’re excited to announce a FREE sushi-making class for kids (Grades 2nd-4th), fully sponsored by the Montessori School of Evergreen in partnership with Sushi Win! 🎉

Date: Monday, March 31st
Location: Montessori School of Evergreen
Instructor: Sushi Chef Ryan Win

This hands-on class, open to 7, 8, and 9-year-olds (2nd-4th grades), is designed to ignite your child’s curiosity in the kitchen and beyond. Maria Montessori believed that engaging children in activities they’re passionate about sparks a lifelong love of learning. We hope this class will spark an interest in Asian culture and cuisine, broadening their understanding of the world while having fun making their very own sushi hand rolls!

No cooking experience required - just a love of learning and sushi! 🍣 Limited spots available, so don’t wait - reserve your place today and give your child the chance to roll like a pro!
