After spending most of the summer working on blaster builds, I’m relieved to learn that I still enjoy modding a blaster. It’s particularly satisfying when the mod results in a dramatic transformation.

The unwieldy and underpowered Fortnite AR-L, with its ludicrously overlong faux barrel, is now a compact SMG size.

The trickiest part was cutting down and shaping the barrel so that it would fit inside the blaster.

The shots pull to the right, but when you adjust, it’s fairly accurate. Wired for Lipo, with Valkyrie motors, Worker Smooth wheels, a 42.5mm crush cage, and 3D printed mod parts from Corvid Customs (available at https://www.printables.com/). On 2s, it’s doing a respectable 101-111 FPS average.

This will make a great loaner blaster for my fall and winter games.

I love Momma Lips Draws | Visual Artist + Painter ! I am blessed to have one of her prints adorning my walls. Her art speaks to me. Her energy connects with me. I love how she loves and lifts up community through art.
So when I saw her at and she complimented me on my Hyper bucket hat (thanks Hype Murals ), I dropped by today with a gift.

Thank you so much for all you do. Can’t wait to see the finished mural in Historic Downtown Snohomish .

I’m looking forward to another fun blaster battle with Casino Road Kids Ministries this week. The last event, with 50+ players, was epic. I’m prepping some additional motorized blasters. They will deliver solid performance while keeping it a friendly sub-100 FPS.
Prepping some different game modes too. It’s about to get silly!

Thanks Michael Harris for the daily Mark T. My win was making chorizo from scratch for the first time. Tasted amazing, and without the fillers and preservs. Thanks for the motivation to try something new.

What’s your Dub for the day?
