Today, we had the privilege of welcoming back several former Silver Lake Mustangs as they participated in our annual Senior Grad Walk. Dressed in their caps and gowns, these graduating seniors walked the halls of the school where many of their educational journeys began.

Our current students lined the hallways, cheered them on, and celebrated this important milestone. The Grad Walk serves as a powerful reminder that hard work, perseverance, and dedication can lead to incredible accomplishments.

We are incredibly proud of our graduates and all they have achieved. Thank you for returning to inspire the next generation of Silver Lake students. Your success reminds our Mustangs that their future is full of possibilities.

A huge thank you to our amazing PTA for treating our staff to a delicious baked potato lunch today!

Thank you to our PTA for the wonderful Grab-and-Go they provided for our staff today! Yesterday, our staff was treated to a delicious taco bar, and tomorrow they’ll get to enjoy baked potatoes.

We truly appreciate all of the thoughtful ways our PTA continues to celebrate and support our staff during Staff Appreciation Week. Your generosity and kindness mean so much to all of us!

Multicultural Night was a tremendous success, with an incredible turnout from our Silver Lake community! It was truly inspiring to see the many cultures that make up our school represented and celebrated.

A special thank you to our Natural Leaders for their outstanding planning and leadership—your hard work truly shined throughout the event. We are also grateful to our volunteers and families for sharing your time, traditions, and energy with our school community.

We encourage everyone to wear cultural attire to proudly represent your heritage. Students are also welcome to wear their cultural attire to school that day!

Important Reminders:

* All students must be accompanied by an adult (no drop-offs).
* Let’s take care of our school—please be respectful of all spaces.
* The event will take place in the cafeteria and gym only.
* We’ll wrap up the night with piñatas in the undercover area.
* Restrooms will be available in the A building only.

Piñata Info:

* Students who want to participate must stop by the bracelet booth.
* Children under 5 do not need a bracelet and will have a separate piñata time after the other grades.

We would like to thank the Chick-Fil-A Mill Creek restaurant for providing our staff with a wonderful meal today. It really hit the spot!

Silver Lake Elementary Gives Back for Earth Day! 🌎

Our Mustangs showed up in a big way this past Friday for a campus-wide Earth Day clean-up!

Our 3rd grade students teamed up with their kindergarten buddies to help clean up the field, building connections while taking care of our shared spaces. Meanwhile, our 5th graders took the lead in sprucing up the front parking lot, showing pride in our school community.

We’re so proud of our students for demonstrating responsibility, teamwork, and care for the environment. Small actions lead to big impact—and our Mustangs are leading the way!
