A busy day in the shop. Fir table top glued up and some maple glued up and ran through the planer. The maple will be made into a box to hold a heavy hot stone bowl for a new restaurant that’s opening soon.

Thinking it’s time to learn a new wood working skill. Might be time to learn how to carve signs by hand. I have found a mentor to teach me, he’s a former Disney Imagineer and made most of the signs you see at Disneyland and Disney World.

Things are going to be a little slow in the wood shop for a few weeks as I am recovering from having a partial knee replacement. We hope everyone had a great Christmas and spent some time with family. Jody and I had a great Christmas and yes I did get a few things for the wood shop that will make things easier and faster.

Had the opportunity to meet a wood working icon today. Alex Snodgrass is a master with a bandsaw. He was in town to teach a class this weekend.

This week we delivered and installed a cedar address sign. This is a great way to make the address to your house more visible for guests and delivery’s.

Today’s is the day for the Marysville Getchel High school winter bazaar. We will be there with snowmen, signs and some of our other items. We will also have a live edge coffee table with us, it’s also for sale. Hope to see some of you there.
