URGENT: Everett Community College’s Liberty, Shuksan and Whitehorse halls and the Fitness Center remain closed due to a power outage.

If you work or have class in one of these buildings, do not enter the building. Some classes may be relocated to alternate locations. Check in with your instructor, supervisor or dean for more information.

There’s something special about fall at Everett Community College. The crisp air, colorful leaves and beautiful campus are a reminder that every season brings a chance to pause, begin again and keep growing.

As you make your way to class this quarter, take a moment to look around and appreciate where you are; and how far you’ve already come.

College isn’t always easy, but you don’t have to have it all figured out. Take it one day, one class and one step at a time. We’re glad you’re here, Trojans. Keep going. Your future is worth it.

Meet Princess Asencio, an EvCC alumna turning her passion for serving Indigenous communities into leadership.

An enrolled member of the Crow Tribe (Apsáalooke) with Salish and Kootenai ancestry, Princess became deeply involved in campus life at EvCC. She served as president and vice president of the First Nations Club, worked as a peer navigator in the Place of Our Way and helped create events and spaces celebrating Indigenous culture and supporting Native students.

After earning her Associate in Arts and Sciences – Direct Transfer Agreement (AAS-DTA), Princess transferred to the University of Washington Seattle, where she is majoring in American Indian Studies.

Her next goal? Law school, where she plans to continue advocating for Indigenous communities through policy, education and leadership.
