To be considered, these students had to rank in the top 5% of their graduating class and submit a tribute video honoring a staff member who played a pivotal role in their education.

We are excited to recognize Sophia Thigpen as the Cascade High School Superintendent’s Scholarship Award for Excellence winner! ❤️

Sophia is in the top 5% of the 2026 graduating class and chose to recognize Mark Staley as an honored staff member.

Sophia received a $1,000 scholarship and will be recognized during the Cascade High School graduation ceremony.
