Who are we and what do we offer?

The Youth Re-Engagement (U3) program provides an opportunity for youth ages 16-21, who do not have a high school diploma, to earn a diploma and a college degree for FREE.

Youth Re-Engagement is a dual-credit program which enables youth to work toward the educational goal of their choice, or even multiple goals. Options include:

a GED
a high school diploma
an Associate degree
a technical or vocational certificate

We are a Washington State Open Doors program, designed to help disengaged or credit-deficient high school students re-engage in their education, located at Everett Community College. We provide an alternative for students who are not finding success or satisfaction at, or who have already left, the traditional high school environment. We view our program as an opportunity for youth to learn, explore, and challenge themselves, to believe in themselves, and to re-engage in education. We want to enable our future workforce to become successful in an educational setting, to learn the importance of and understand the relationship between education and the world of work. Education is the key to their future.

EvCC offers Youth Re-Engagement in partnership with local school districts and Sea Mar Community Health Centers. The program is based on a model of other successful programs in the nation. Youth who enter the program receive the support of a case manager to help them navigate through college and become a successful college student.

We are currently able to serve students who reside in all Snohomish County school districts, as well as some districts in King and Skagit counties. Call 425-259-8738 to see if your district is one that we partner with!

EvCC will test our emergency alert system at 10:17am on October 17 (same time as the Great ShakeOut Earthquake Drill).

You will receive a test message via email, via text (for those who have signed up for text alerts), and see test messages on EvCC's website and social media. The message will say that this is a test of EvCC's emergency alert system.

Not signed up for text message alerts? Visit EverettCC.edu/Emergency for directions. Available for EvCC students, faculty and staff as well as parents, WSU-Everett and community members.

If you are at an EvCC location, we will also be testing the InformaCast Broadcasting system and you may hear audio alerts and beeps and see desktop phone text scrolling notifications.
