Alumni from Jackson Elementary School 1948-2026

Came across a 1955 memory book.... school building would be 7 yrs old in this picture...... John Monroe , I may have something here that might intrigue you....
I sure hope I can find a lot more pictures..... I feel like someone is gonna dump a bunch in my message box at any time..... would love to see what you have!!! Anything 1948-2026, please!!!

Sure there will be more coming during the summer, but Im kind of excited for the new school in a way....
Trust me, Im sad to see the old school go..... its hallowed ground to me, but next chapter, right?
I guess if I made it through the library, my 5th grade classroom and the gym go, Ill make it through this demolition....
But seriously.... THANK YOU Mariah sooooo much for these pics..... the library pic over the old school is PRICELESS.... Hoping for a straight on shot out that glass window..... I want to see "the view" so bad.

Last video I took last night.... Sorry I was interrupted several times during it but at least I got the teachers lounge.... in all my years, I had never been in there

Oh what a fun night it was last night at Jackson..... surely it was sad but it sure was fun to meet a few of you... Big shout out to Rina Marie for sharing with me 6 great pictures.... those will be in another post later

The school had a few lunch tables with some old newspaper clippings and old photos, mainly from the 80s and 90s... .
Now any of you folks that dont have your class pictures from 1978-1992 I believe, I may be able to hook you up.
Certain photo books had class photos (ie 1978-1979, 1979-1980 and so on until, I believe 1992)
Teachers were there but didn't have have name tags.... I was keeping my eye out on my 2nd grade teacher, Sue Aaby because her husband said that she was coming up from AZ to try to stop by.
Ran into an old neighbor from when I was in kindergarten (I have a memory like an elephant) and we chatted a good portion of a 20 minute period....Rina Marie, shared pics with me and chatted with her for a spell and thanking her for that pic she took of me by the picturesque window (my favorite part of Jackson)
Such a great turnout.... Im sure Ill get some pictures from Mariah (she was the lady with the camera going round taking pics....
The tour lasted till 730.... half an hour later than it was supposed to....
There will be a tour of the new school sometime ( likely after the new school year starts)
I think Im satisfied with all the pics and vids I've posted over the last two years.
Doesn't mean Im done with this page by any means.... but Im just saying that I can let go of this building and let the next chapter begin....
Sure itll be hard to see it come down but Im hoping you guys might find somethings in your keepsakes and relics that we can sharevin here..... If its anywhere between 1948-2026 it means so much
Thanks so much for liking this page.... it means so much to me to share memories from this wonderful school.
Sure I will post pictures and vids of the new school as well......BUT, the primary goal is to share everything I can from this school in general.....
