Magnified Giving empowers young people by giving them the opportunity to decide where to best invest financial resources into the non-profit community. Working with Cincinnati-area high schools, we provide funds for students to use as they form student philanthropy boards. We offer training, guidance and support to the students and teachers as they identify community needs, analyze agencies and se

Picture a room full of students deciding which nonprofits deserve funding this year. They showed up with real questions, real budgets, and receipts.

That's the Youth Philanthropy Program in action, and this year it added up to something big: $247,120.48 granted to 191 nonprofits, decided by more than 5,000 students across 175 programs.

We just published the full list, every program and every nonprofit funded this year.

Each year, our Fall Dinner brings together people who believe youth can change the world when they're trusted with the opportunity. This year's theme, Giving is for Everyone, reminds us that every person - regardless of age or ability - has something meaningful to contribute toward that change. As a Fall Dinner sponsor, you'll help celebrate the impact of rising philanthropists while demonstrating your own commitment to generosity, leadership, and community.

This is what happens when you hand a group of kids real money and trust them to decide where it goes 🩵

Camp Give recently wrapped up two weeks in Northern Kentucky, and NKY Tribune caught the whole story. We're so grateful they shared it.

32 campers partnered with Brighton Center (celebrating year seven together!) and UpSpring in Florence this summer. They logged 91.5 volunteer hours serving seven local nonprofits, places like Henry Hosea House, Rooms with Love, Art Equals, Benton Family Farm, The Barracks Project, and Band in a Bus.

Then came the part that matters most. Campers sat down together and decided, as a group, exactly how to divide $6,585 in grant funding among the organizations that moved them most.

Huge thanks to Horizon Community Foundation for fueling this work, and to Brighton Center and UpSpring for welcoming us in.

This week marks the start of Alison Kaufman's first official week as CEO of Magnified Giving, but in many ways, she's been part of the leadership behind this mission for years.

Alison joined our team nine years ago as Director of Programs, and most recently served as Vice President of Programs, helping shape the very programs that now reach 6,000+ young people annually. She knows this work inside and out, because she's helped build it, with a passion for youth empowerment that shows in everything she does.

Please join us in giving Alison a warm welcome to her new role. We are so excited for this next chapter, and can't wait to see where her leadership and vision take us!

Today is Kelly Collison's last day as CEO of Magnified Giving, and we couldn't let it pass without pausing to say thank you. ❤️

More than eleven years ago, Kelly sat at a desk in the back of Founder Roger Grein's tax office and got to work turning his vision for youth to have first-hand opportunities to learn to be wise philanthropists into a reality.

Since then, she has helped grow Magnified Giving from 55 Youth Philanthropy Programs in 2015 to 175 in 2026, engaging over 6,000 young people a year and empowering youth to direct more than $2.3 million to community nonprofits. Her belief in young people and her dedication to giving them a real seat at the table has shaped everything this organization has become.

In her own words, Kelly shared this about the man who started it all:
"Roger, thank you for the faith and trust you placed in me when you asked me to become this organization's first Executive Director. Thank you for your friendship, your inspiration, and for building a vision and mission so beautiful that I could spend the third act of my career running with it. I will always be grateful."

Kelly, thank you for eleven incredible years of leadership, heart, and vision. We wish you a wonderful last day, and an even more wonderful next chapter. Please join us in celebrating and wishing Kelly the best in the comments!

huge congrats to Shubhangi Srishti 🎉

Shubhangi is a Magnified Giving alumna and our 2025 Roger Grein Legacy Scholarship recipient, and she just added another honor to the list. AFP named her a 2026 National Philanthropy Day honoree for Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy, a nomination we were proud to submit.

She's the founder and Board President of TechElevate, where she's teaching free coding classes to students, helping seniors spot scams and stay safe online, and building free websites for nonprofits doing good work around Cincinnati.

This is what it looks like when a student finds their thing and keeps going. Shubhangi found hers, and she's using it to lift up everyone around her.

We'll be celebrating her at the National Philanthropy Day Reception on November 19th. So proud of you, Shubhangi!

this one's worth sitting with! 💬

Youth Today has a piece out about something we think about a lot, "the gap between asking young people to participate and actually trusting them to shape outcomes."

Across schools, nonprofits, and youth programs everywhere, students get invited into the conversation. Advisory boards, surveys, feedback sessions. But when it comes to the actual decisions, budgets, policies, priorities, they're rarely in the room.

That gap isn't unique to any one organization. It's something all of us working with young people, still have room to close.

It's part of why grantmaking sits at the center of what we do. Handing students a real budget and a real decision is the difference between being heard and being trusted with the outcome.

say hello to the newest member of our team 💚

Everyone, meet Noelle Schwartz, our new Director of Advancement!

Noelle will be leading our fundraising and partnership efforts here at Magnified Giving, connecting donors, foundations, and community partners with the chance to invest in students who are already showing up as leaders in their own communities.

She spent the last 15+ years building those kinds of relationships for organizations like Mount St. Joseph University and Seton High School, so she already knows what it looks like when a community shows up for something bigger than itself.

What sold us on Noelle was simple. She believes generosity can be taught, and once a student feels what it's like to give, that feeling sticks with them for life. Outside of MG, you'll find her on the West Side of Cincinnati keeping up with her three teenage boys, or out in the garden when she gets a spare minute.

Noelle, we are so glad you're here. Welcome to the family 💚

huge congrats to our founder, Roger Grein 🎉📚

Roger recently published his second book, "The Journey of a Coach," and it's the kind of story that makes you remember why this work matters in the first place!

It follows Roger and his Sweeney Softball team over more than three decades of travel, games, and growth, watching a scrappy local team turn into one of the best-ranked girls' softball teams in the country. Long before Magnified Giving existed, Roger was already showing up for young people and building something bigger than himself.

We're so proud of him. Grab a copy and celebrate with us; the link is here: https://ow.ly/8L1y50ZmxNX
