Innovation was on full display this week at Memorial!

From building, creating, experimenting, and problem-solving, our Camp Invention campers spent the week diving into hands-on STEM activities that challenged their imaginations and sparked curiosity. Throughout the week, these young innovators explored science, engineering, creativity, and teamwork while discovering that learning can be both exciting and fun.

As Camp Invention wraps up today, we're grateful to the dedicated educators, volunteers, and families who helped make this incredible week possible. Most importantly, we're proud of every camper who embraced new challenges, asked big questions, and brought their ideas to life.

The future is bright, and judging by what we saw this week, it's in great hands.

A Future Tiger Has Arrived!

The Memorial family is growing.

Please join us in congratulating Mrs. Aiton, Memorial teacher and Girls Volleyball Coach, and Coach Aiton, JV Boys Basketball Coach, on the arrival of their son, Louie Alan Aiton.

Born Tuesday, Louie is healthy, happy, and already bringing so much joy to the Aiton family.

We are excited for Mrs. Aiton and Coach Aiton as they begin this new chapter and welcome their newest teammate. While it may be a few years before Louie walks the halls of Memorial, we think it's safe to say a future Tiger has arrived.

Congratulations to the entire Aiton family from all of us at Reitz Memorial High School. We wish you many blessings and countless special memories in the years ahead.

Four years. Countless memories. Lifelong friendships. A place that becomes part of who you are.

As the Class of 2026 begins to close this chapter at Reitz Memorial High School, we asked our seniors a simple question:

ā€œWhat has Memorial meant to you?ā€

The answers were filled with laughter, faith, growth, victories, challenges overcome, unforgettable moments, and the people who made this place feel like home.

From Friday night lights and championship moments… to retreats, classrooms, hallways, lunches with friends, and teachers who became mentors… Memorial is more than a school. It’s a family.

To our seniors: thank you for leaving your mark on Memorial. Your story is now forever woven into the history of this school, and we cannot wait to see where God leads you next.

Leave a word of encouragement for the Class of 2026 as they prepare for graduation!

Happy Mother’s Day to all of the incredible moms in the Memorial family!

Today, we celebrate the women who cheer the loudest, pray the hardest, sacrifice endlessly, and love unconditionally. From early morning drop-offs to late-night homework help, from sideline celebrations to quiet moments of encouragement, your impact reaches far beyond what words can capture.

In this special video, our students share why they appreciate their own mothers and the many ways they have shaped their lives, faith, and future. Their words are a reminder that behind every student is a mother, grandmother, guardian, or mother figure helping guide them every step of the way.

Thank you for the love, strength, faith, and support you pour into your families and our Memorial community each and every day.

Happy Mother’s Day, Tigers!
We’d love to hear from you… drop a comment and tell us something special about your mom or a favorite memory with her!

Some stories are polished… others are alive. And the best ones? They sound a little like turning pages, echoing hallways, and history being rediscovered in real time.

ā€œA Living History of Memorial High Schoolā€ is here.

Created by our dedicated Scriptorium Club, this documentary dives into the early roots of Catholic education in Evansville and the founding of Reitz Memorial High School in 1925. Built from hours of research through historic documents, yearbooks, and archives, this project uncovers stories and details you won’t find anywhere else.

And yes… you might notice a few background sounds, some evolving audio levels, and moments that feel wonderfully unfiltered. That’s part of the charm. This isn’t just a video… it’s history in motion, carefully pieced together by students who care deeply about preserving our legacy.

Also included is a one-of-a-kind timeline mapping the journey to Memorial’s founding, inspired by the London Underground—tracing the paths of Assumption and Holy Trinity, and the movement of the Sisters who helped shape it all.

Ever wondered how Memorial came to be? Step into the story.

A special thank you to our Scriptorium students and Mr. Lismore for bringing our past to life in such a meaningful way.

History came to life in a way no textbook ever could.

Students in Mr. Mattingly’s U.S. History classes recently had the incredible opportunity to step inside the past at the Evansville Wartime Museum—engaging in hands-on learning, exploring artifacts, and hearing powerful, first-hand stories that brought history off the page and into the present.

From interactive exhibits to meaningful conversations, our students gained a deeper understanding of the sacrifices, innovations, and experiences that have shaped our nation.

A heartfelt thank you to the Browning family and the dedicated volunteers at the museum for their time, passion, and willingness to share these important stories. Your impact on our students will last far beyond the classroom.
