Happy Easter! Easter in our Vincentian Tradition is that we become “Easter people”.
St. Vincent used to celebrate Easter according to the rules of Christianity. And he asked his missionaries to do the same, recommending that their actions and works should always be diffused by the spirit of God (cf. CCD 12:93).
To celebrate Easter in this sense would mean doing good for others, especially the most vulnerable…we strive to be an Easter people; to do Easter as those who encounter light and want, in turn, to be a light that encourages, uplifts and guides.
