Thank you, Dana, for sharing this with us!
Remember when the TV station went off after the 10 PM news cast? The day ended, and people actually rested.
We've lost something sacred.
As Christian women serving our families, our churches, and our communities, we've been conditioned to push through exhaustion and consider it a badge of honor in service to the Lord.
But here's what Scripture teaches us: God designed sleep. It’s vain to stay up late and rise early.
When we deny our bodies the sleep they desperately need, we're ignoring the temple we've been entrusted to steward. Foggy thinking, mood struggles, weakened immunity, even our ability to serve those we love most... it all hinges on something so important.
What if the most spiritual thing you could do right now is lie down in peace and actually rest?
I'm breaking down the recent session I taught on the healing power of sleep into three parts. Listen to part 1 now.

1 Corinthians 14:40 "Let all things be done decently and in order." So many of our students could find more success in the classroom if they only had the skill of organization! Executive functions help us to plan, organized and regulate our learning and behavior. God gave us the first executive functioning skills to help us after salvation. We find that in the Fruit of the Spirit. He changes our thoughts to love, joy, and peace. He also changes our behaviors to longsuffering, goodness, kindness, faithfulness and temperance.
Join me as we discover from Sarah Hudon how some students need more time and effort to develop executive functioning skills. Click the link below to hear last week's introduction and listen to Faith Music Radio at 12:30 during the Eleven2one show on Tuesdays for future broadcasts.

Students do not always avoid a task simply because they do not want to do the work. Sometimes they can be embarrassed by the fact that they do not understand the task or simply do not have the skills to perform the task. Teaching our students to walk in truth includes them understanding that they can do hard things and they can work through their weaknesses instead of running from them.

Behavior Awareness: Seeking Attention | The Teacher's Key: Finding the Answers for Learning
One reason for students to misbehave is to seek attention. Mrs. Evans used to say, “Why can’t we just give people what they need?” We just need to decide that some students just need more attention. Go ahead and give it to them. Don’t make them seek it. Then teach them how to appropriately s...
