Thank you to everyone who came to visit today during our Open House! We made new connections, registered new students, and had many great conversations as we showed off our school.
Congratulations to the four winners of the door prizes: Antuan, Peter, Destany, and Ky’Aira! You can each pick up your prize next week, Mon-Fri, 9:00-3:30.

Sharing the Good in Goodwill! 💙
Meet Emily! She’s a student at The Excel Center® Evansville Southeast and the Digital Skills Navigator here at Evansville Goodwill’s GoodSkills Academy! She had always searched for something other than just the GED or online schooling, so while looking up resources for adult education, she came across The Excel Center and started attending about a year ago! She has really enjoyed her time learning at The Excel Center and said it changed her entire ideology around school after going there. After experiencing the mission firsthand, Emily decided helping others is something that she really wanted to get involved in, so she applied for a job here at the GoodSkills Academy. Now, she gets to teach others valuable skills needed to navigate the digital landscape and help them upscale their careers!

Students: it’s been a great Welcome Back Week so far! We’ve seen nearly 200 students in the first two days, but there are still a few of you who we are waiting to see. We’ve already had some good giveaways this week (and if you missed out, come find me), but I wanted to announce one last incentive: Friday afternoon I will randomly draw five students to receive Amazon Gift Cards!
How do you enter? Simple: cometo class! For each day you attend school this week you will be automatically entered in the drawing - up to five chances to win!

Students: the long summer is over and it’s time to come back to The Excel Center! And for those new students for whom this will be their first Term: welcome aboard!
Classes start this Monday, August 3. Check your email or StudentVUE account for your schedule.
And be sure to make it to class every day this week as we will be doing giveaways and drawings throughout the week… including gift cards and some new Excel Center items! (But you’ve got to attend in order to win!)
We have over 250 of you registered to join us this Term and we are VERY ready to fill our halls again.
