I have to admit- when Mrs. Crose asked me about Bookworm being a library pet, my initial response was, “Oh, no way.” But- when I thought about the opportunity this could be for our students, I had to say, “YES!”

Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined the positive impact Bookworm would have. Have you ever seen such a dreamy library???

Mrs. Crose has “forest helpers” in the library. This month is the Owl table. Bookworms Post is up and running! We’ve been busy at work writing a few of our friends back this week :)

Last week’s rock stars! These ladies rocked by making sure all needs were met, proving extra activities for our students, and providing the perfect pick me ups to colleagues! Way to go!

Small groups are where magic happens! Each day, students meet in small groups to really focus on skills. In addition to small group time in their classroom, students also have a WINN period- What I Need Now- where they work to learn and advance skills. Our staff is constantly working to provide your student with what they need to be successful.

It’s a great day to be a Cardinal! Our 6th grade volleyball team won in 3 sets today! Way to start the season, ladies!!

Students in STREAM class this week have been learning that mistakes are ok and just a “Beautiful Oops”. Their challenge was to turn circles into something other than a circle. If they made a mistake their challenge was to learn it was ok and just use it to turn it into something else and not be upset.

We are excited about our upcoming picnic! If you are planning on ordering hot dog meals, those orders are due by Monday, Aug. 31. We can’t wait to spend the day with you! Don’t forget blankets or chairs!
