The University of Evansville seeks a strategic and results-oriented Senior Major Gift Officer to join its Advancement team. This role is ideal for a relationship-focused fundraiser who thrives on engaging alumni, donors, and stakeholders in meaningful ways.

Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Development, this position is responsible for identifying, cultivating, and soliciting philanthropic support to advance the University’s mission. The Senior Major Gift Officer will manage a dynamic portfolio and serve as a key ambassador for UE.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage a portfolio of 150–200 major gift prospects with capacity of $50,000+.
Conduct 15–20 in-person donor visits and 2–4 major gift solicitations monthly, including planned gifts.

Guide donors through the full giving cycle, from identification to stewardship.
Collaborate with campus partners and volunteers to support fundraising goals.
Track activity and progress using reporting tools.
Represent the University’s mission and priorities with clarity and professionalism.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Proven success in major gift fundraising (higher education or nonprofit preferred).
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Willingness to travel extensively.

Core Competencies:
Strategic, results-driven, and collaborative.
Ability to align donor interests with institutional priorities.
Working knowledge of planned giving.
