CHEESEBALLS! We have started our Cheesey Chix cheeseball sale and the orders are already flying! These are known to be some of the best cheeseballs around. For $11 each, you can enjoy various flavors including bacon and chocolate. These freeze very well and will be here in time for Thanksgiving. Grab your favorite band student (6th-12th grade) and place an order before October 30th! Payment is due at the time of the order. The top selling student will receive a $25 Azzip gift card and the opportunity to climb the tower once it is installed!

We are excited to kick off our band tower fundraising campaign with funnel cakes and car washes! On Sunday, October 11th, stop by North High School door #10 between 11am and 2pm for a funnel cake and a car wash! Funnel cakes are $5 each and car washes are $5 for cars and $10 for SUVs & trucks. Please consider helping us purchase a band tower. If you miss the sweet taste of funnel cakes, this event is for you!!

Save The Date: (tentatively) Monday, July 6th!

Because Mr. Farmer was not given the proper ceremony for winning "Teacher of the Year" due to schools being closed, we would like to have a celebration to honor Mr. Farmer immediately following marching band rehearsal on Monday, July 6th at 8:30pm (PENDING EVSC SUMMER SCHEDULE GUIDANCE). The celebration will take place at the Green Brigade semi located next to the parking lot practice field. Everyone is welcome to attend so we can show Mr. Farmer how much we appreciate him!

Congratulations to Mr. Farmer for being named a FINALIST for the Courier and Press Outstanding Educator Award! You are most deserving of this prestigious honor!

Congratulations to Mr. Farmer for being nominated for both the Courier and Press Outstanding Educator Of The Year and the PTSA Teacher Of The Year! Mr. Farmer is most certainly very deserving of these honors. He has consistently demonstrated a true commitment to the pursuit of excellence within the North District band programs. Mr. Farmer's enthusiasm for teaching is clearly evident in all that he does. The students absolutely adore Mr. Farmer as he takes a genuine interest in their well being. Congratulations, Mr. Farmer!

Tomorrow is the big day for those playing the national anthem at the Cubs vs. Cardinals game at Busch Stadium! Here are some final details:

Rehearsal- Friday, May 31st (5:00-5:45)

Cardinals Game Itinerary
June 1st, 2019
12:00 p.m. Report to North High School
12:15 p.m. REHEARSAL
1:00 p.m. Load Buses
1:15 p.m. Depart for Cardinal’s Game
4:40 p.m. Arrive at Busch Stadium
5:45 p.m. National Anthem Performance
6:10 p.m. Students will enter the stadium for the game
9:00 p.m. Depart for North High School (when the game ends)
11:30 p.m. Arrive at North High School

Students are to wear khaki shorts, belt, athletic shoes, and their Game Day shirt for the performance. Students can still pick up their Game Day shirt today at rehearsal.

The buses will be dropping off the students at Gate 1 (Poplar Street) when we arrive at Busch Stadium. This is where students should meet the rest of the group if they are not riding the bus.

Students will not be allowed back into the stadium following the performance if they do not have their ticket. Please contact Mr. Emmert at [email protected] if you still need to pick up your tickets.

The game will be televised on FOX as the FOX Game of the Week.

If your student is riding the bus TO the game but not back to North, you MUST sign your child out before you take them. This can be done by emailing Mr. Emmert or notifying Mr. Emmert or Mr. Farmer during the game.
