As Women’s History Month comes to a close, I’ve been reflecting on the power of voice: how it develops, how it’s shaped by experience, and how important it is that we use ours to encourage others in every space we occupy.
Throughout history, women have often had to find creative, courageous ways to share their stories, advocate for others, and lead change. That legacy continues in the work we do every day. As mothers, daughters, friends, advisors, educators, and mentors, we have the opportunity to create space for voices to emerge and be heard.
In my recent article for IECA--Independent Educational Consultants Association, I explore the importance of helping students find and use their voice as they navigate applications, tell their stories, and step into their futures with confidence. When students learn to communicate who they are and what matters to them, it not only strengthens their applications, it empowers them for life.
