PBIS Rewards

PBIS Rewards PBIS Rewards is a digital, schoolwide PBIS management system that helps your school go paperless with its PBIS initiative. Recognize. Report. Redeem.

The PBIS Rewards System simplifies giving rewards and redeeming rewards by taking advantage of the scanning capabilities of smartphones and tablets. Teachers and Administrators give students points by scanning a bar code or QR code assigned to the student. The process is fast and simple. The bar code can be on a nametag, desk sticker, class roster sheet, or a student ID badge. Students can then redeem points for privileges and/or items using a similar process.

PBIS isn't a program, and that distinction matters.

Programs come and go, but PBIS operates as a framework, designed to evolve with your school, your students, and your data.

When schools commit to it, the impact goes beyond behavior:
Behavior expectations become consistent across every classroom
Discipline becomes more equitable and predictable
Students internalize behaviors they carry beyond school

For teachers, this often means less time managing behavior and more time teaching it.

Faith formation doesn't happen only during religion class. It happens when a student helps a classmate in the hallway, shows compassion at lunch, or chooses integrity on the playground.

The Catholic schools with the strongest cultures recognize those moments consistently and intentionally.

In a recent webinar with NCEA, Navigate360's Adam Efird explores how schools are aligning PBIS Rewards with their core values to make Catholic identity something students experience every day, not just talk about.

Does PBIS really work?

The answer is yes, and the impact is measurable.

School implementing PBIS with fidelity see:
Fewer disruptions
Fewer discipline referrals
More consistent expectations across classrooms

Rather than just responding to negative behaviors, PBIS frameworks teach and reinforce the positive ones. It's this element that drives real, lasting change.

Check out our blog to see how PBIS can help your schools shift from reactive discipline to positive reinforcement:

Teachers are balancing academic instruction, student engagement, and increasingly complex behaviors, often with fewer resources than ever.

Many traditional classroom management strategies are reactive. Teachers spend significant time responding to disruptions, re-directing off-task behavior, and managing discipline issues. Over time, instructional time decreases and student engagement suffers.

PBIS takes a different approach.

Schools that implement PBIS with fidelity often experience:
Reduced office referrals
Increased instructional time
Higher student engagement
Stronger classroom management
Better alignment between staff and administration

PBIS helps schools shift from constantly reacting to building a school culture rooted in positivity, consistency, support, and accountability.

We broke down 5 classroom management strategies schools are using every day with PBIS. Read the full blog here.

β€œI can open the app and see exactly who’s in the hallway and how long they’ve been there.”

For Faust Elementary, hallway accountability used to mean clipboards, guesswork, and time-consuming tracking. Now, it’s instant.

By adding Hall Pass Plus to PBIS Rewards, they gave staff:
Real-time visibility into student movement
The ability to spot patterns (frequent flyers, long passes, repeat times)
Fewer disruptions and more time in class

The best part? It’s all built into the same system they already use for behavior.

Take a look at their success: https://hubs.la/Q049XwHF0

See how Samuel K. Faust Elementary used PBIS Rewards and Hall Pass Plus to increase student engagement, improve hallway visibility, and create a more consistent, efficient school environment.

"I felt like we were spending so much time focusing on the small percentage of students making poor choices. But 98–99% of our students are doing exactly what they should every day."

That's a Pennsylvania principal describing the frustration that drives so many schools toward PBIS.

PBIS is a three-tiered framework that allows schools to support students at every level:

πŸ“Œ ~75–90% of students succeed with universal supports
πŸ“Œ Some require additional intervention
πŸ“Œ Others need fully individualized support

Successful PBIS depends on consistent expectations, reliable behavior tracking, ongoing staff communication, and schoolwide alignment.

We cover exactly how schools build and sustain it in our latest blog:
