Reminder that the ResearcHERS event to help fund cancer research is this Sunday at Dillard's. Your $10 donation to the American Cancer Society will help fund research and it will give you a shopping pass to save 10% on your purchase (with some restrictions). Also, we will get 10% of your purchase from the day. If you are sick or think you might have been exposed to the virus, please stay home. If you are well, please wear a mask and practice social distancing. You can pre-purchase your ticket on the gofundme link or you can purchase the day of the event at the American Cancer Society table that will be set up at Dillard's. If you don't want to shop, but want to support women in cancer research, you can still make a donation at the link below.

Skin cancer is the most common of all cancer types. More than 5.4 million skin cancers are diagnosed each year in the United States. Staying in the shade is one of the best ways to limit your UV exposure. If you are going to be in the sun this weekend, “Slip! Slop! Slap! and Wrap” is a catchphrase that can help you remember some of the key steps you can take to protect yourself from UV rays:
Slip on a shirt.
Slop on sunscreen.
Slap on a hat.
Wrap on sunglasses to protect the eyes and skin around them.
