The Department of Chemistry offers three chemistry majors, a co-op program for interested professional chemistry majors and a major in biochemistry.

Two of our majors, Madelyn Tarvin and Olivia Oliver, presented their research at the 2024 S-Stem Scholars and PI Meeting in Chicago this weekend. Madelyn worked under the direction of Dr. Roslyn Lampkins and Olivia worked under the direction of Dr. Roslyn Lampkins and Dr. Kristy Miller.

Today we had the pleasure of welcoming back retired Professor Phil Kinsey (1956-1995) to our department! He came back to see what Professor Bryan Lynch had done with the PChem lab since he retired. Together, these two have been responsible for nearly 70 years of physical chemistry education and research at UE!

Congratulations to junior Biochemistry major Abby Feit on capturing top honors in being selected to the MVC First Team.
Recognized in The Valley's postseason awards in all three of her collegiate seasons, Feit put on another impressive show in the 2021-22 campaign. Feit finished the regular season averaging 14.8 points and 8.9 rebounds per contest, both top five in the MVC in their respective categories. The Normal, Ill. native led the Aces in minutes, field goal percentage, three-pointers made, rebounds, and blocks. The first-team honor adds to an already full trophy cabinet for the junior, who was named league freshman of the year in 2020 and received honorable mention all-conference recognition a season ago.
Women's Basketball trio hauls in postseason MVC awards - University of Evansville Athletics ST. LOUIS, Mo. - In recognition of their regular season efforts, three members of the University of Evansville women's basketball team were honored with postseason awards from the Missouri Valley Conference, it was announced in a release from the conference office on Wednesday morning.
