Last Friday, marked our last day at the Boys and Girls Club for this summer session. The children embarked on architecture around the United States, built their dream city with Legos, learned different architectural styles, built bridges, and constructed contraptions to protect their eggs from the egg drop. These brilliant children have embraced us with open arms and left a wonderful impact on our instructors’ lives. The memories we have created at the Boys and Girls Club have embarked on our hearts and we can’t wait to be back.

Week 5: In light of the holiday spirit, we started this week with a lesson about the Revolutionary War. Later in the week, the kids learned about the muscular system, the 50 states, and how to make a hand-powered centrifuge similar to the ones that Stanford’s bioengineers invented.
