Field day fun!

Today we studied for our quiz tomorrow by practicing mean, median, mode, and range with numbers inside Easter eggs!!

We got to do our math work outside today and enjoy this beautiful day!!! ☀️🕶

Today the kids got to create, name, and design their own zoos with partners! They had to map out where they wanted to put each animal exhibit on a coordinate plane and had to follow certain rules to make sure there was enough room for each. They LOVED this activity and had so much fun. I heard so many laughs and creative ideas being thrown around! 🐒🐯🦒

Today we used candy hearts to create rectangles with a given area and perimeter! The students had a good time creating these rectangles using the hearts as square units! ❤️💜🧡💛💚💙💗

They also realized they MAY have to eat them early to make the fractional unit sides! 🤣

Today we used dominoes to add and subtract fractions!

Today we are finishing up subtracting mixed numbers!! These kids are ROCKING it! 🤩

Today we played TRASHketball as a review game for adding fractions! If the team got the answer right, they got a chance to shoot a 2 or 3 pointer. The team with the most points won!

It was a fun and active way to review adding fractions and the kids absolutely loved it!

Today we did a math activity and had to multiply fractions in order to figure out exact numbers with our Spooky Brew recipe! The kids loved it! We even got to make our own Spooky Brew! 🎃👻

Students are working hard with their groups to draw out the beginning, middle, and ending of their monologues! In a couple of weeks they have to perform them in front of the class! 🤩

Studying for our U.S. regions quiz tomorrow with a Blooket!!! This website allows the kids to combine learning and a fun game! We highly recommend 🤩

Today during social studies we learned about the 5 regions in the U.S. ☺️
