A message from our Principal:
I talked to Dayweather in Cheyenne; they feel graduation will be ok outdoors. There is a slight chance of rain, so be prepared.
Students and Parents,
Due to the possibility of rain and/or lightning, the decision to keep the EHS graduation ceremony outside on the football field or to move inside to the auditorium will be made on Thursday June 1 at noon. We recognize the benefits of hosting outside as well as the potential for weather to disrupt or suspend the ceremony. We want what is best for our students and families. We have been in contact with Don Day with Day Weather in Cheyenne. Please be courteous as we study the weather models and make the best decision for all involved. If we hold the ceremony outside, we will open the gym with the livestream for those wanting to be indoors. Right now, it is looking favorable to hold outside, even if we have a slight chance of showers. Once the decision is made at noon on Thursday it is final.

On March 3rd 2023 led in prayer by his pastor Robert Douglas of Aspen Church, Carson Van Gieson signed his letter of intent to play Division 3 College football at Crown College in St. Bonifacius Minnesota. He is currently a senior at Evanston High School. His passion and skill for football started in the 4th grade where in Green River he was selected twice to play on the All Star team in Laramie at War Memorial Stadium. He moved to Evanston in 7th grade where he played football, wrestled and was on the track team. He has lettered 3 times in football and 4 times wrestling . He had the honor of being a team captain his senior year for the wrestling and the football team. He was picked all conference for football and invited to participate in the Shrine Bowl in 2023.
Carson was the regional champion, and placed 6 th place in wrestling his junior year at state for 4 A, and placed 2nd at regionals and 4th at state 3 A 285 lbs his senior year. Not only is Carson a wonderful athlete, he is an exceptional student which blessed him with many academic scholarships. He was also crowned the Homecoming king. He would like to give thanks to God, his family, coaches, teachers, and everyone who has helped guide him over the years. With his skills and deep compassion to help others, he will represent Wyoming and his family with pride and dignity.

The District will make up the snow day on the 10th of March. The 10th of March will be a half day and follow our half-day schedule.

Five local Evanston High School students have been selected for the 2023 All-Northwest Honor Choirs, which will perform on February18 in Bellevue, WA. Gideon Stahl, Hyrum Baxter and Isabella Dover will be singing in the Mixed Concert Choir. Hadley Blackwell and Kimball Bowen are singing in the Women’s Choir. It is an outstanding achievement to be selected to these prestigious groups. They went through a rigorous audition process, with students auditioning in six states. They were selected from over 4600 students who auditioned to participate in this outstanding event.
Outstanding music students from Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington and Wyoming have received top honors by being selected to participate in one of our 2023 NAME All-Northwest performing groups. These five EHS Choir students will join over one thousand other outstanding high school student musicians in this gala event.
NAME All-Northwest high school bands, orchestras and choirs will meet in Bellevue, WA on February 16-18. They will rehearse and perform in concert under the direction of world-renowned conductors.
Well-known Northwesterners who have participated in past years’ All-Northwest groups include trumpeters Doc Severinson and Allen Vizzutti, Pulitzer Prize-winning editorial cartoonist and columnist David Horsey, and jazz saxophonist Kenny G
