We are excited to announce that $49,000 for scholarships was sent to CMC Ludhiana this year! This is an increase of almost 25% from last year. These scholarships will help increase access to the high-quality education that CMC offers for students in need.
Scholarships are split between the College of Medicine, the College of Nursing, and the Dental College, so students in each school have an opportunity to be rewarded.
Providing yearly scholarship funding is yet another way our organization can help increase medical education and healthcare access in India. Scholarships remove financial obstacles that can keep students from pursuing their education. When more students are able to achieve their dreams of becoming medical professionals, more people in India can recieve the healthcare they need.
We are always looking for more scholarship donors! If you are interested in setting up a yearly scholarship donation or fund with us, please reach out.
Thank you for your continued support!

On Wednesday, May 13th, Dr. Abi Thomas completed his last day of work at CMC Ludhiana. He served CMC for nearly 30 years, beginning in 1999.
Along with his duties at the Dental College, he also filled various administrative roles during his tenure, including serving as Registrar from 2003 to 2006, and as the Interim Director of CMC in 2008.
In 2007, he was appointed Principal of the Dental College, and he remained in this position until his retirement. He was a key figure in much of the Dental College's growth and development during this time.
Dr. Thomas was an integral part of CMC Ludhiana's community, and we are grateful to him for his many years of dedicated service. We wish him all the best in his retirement.
Per his request, we have raised the funds for several new dental chairs for the Dental College. This gift is in his honor.

In acknowledgement of Dr. Abi Thomas's upcoming retirement, we are raising money for a gift.
Dr. Thomas, the Principal of the Dental College, has worked at CMC Ludhiana for nearly 30 years. He has been a devoted provider and highly-regarded leader at CMC, and we want to honor his many years of service by helping fund new equipment for the Dental College.
Our goal is to acquire 16 new dental chairs. Six of those chairs have already been funded, and we are hoping to raise the $11,000 needed to acquire the remaining 10.

We have an exciting update!
The College of Nursing at CMC Ludhiana is embarking on a significant modernization initiative. These projects, once completed, will enhance the overall quality of education, strengthen the academic foundation, and provide a nurturing and technologically advanced learning environment for current and future students.
One of these projects is procuring a bus. Getting this bus would be a vital step in bridging the logistical needs of the College of Nursing’s off-campus programs, which are integral to holistic nursing education and community engagement, and ensuring the safety of the students.
We are pleased to announce that we have received a donation of $15,000 from a very generous donor. This large donation means we are almost halfway to our funding goal for this project. We are beyond grateful.
We hope news of this large donation encourages you to be a part of this project as well.
Every act of generosity brings us closer to equipping nursing students with the tools and experiences they need to serve society with competence and compassion.
