The 2021 Indoor Track season starts tomorrow, January 4th! Meet upstairs by the seminar room after school. There will be a short team meeting to start, but come dressed and ready for a workout. We are excited for the season and for another successful season of Evanston Track and Field!

We hope this message finds everyone who reads it healthy and well. We would like to spread the word that it is the hope of the WHSAA, UCSD #1, and the coaches that the outdoor track season will commence and not be cancelled altogether. As unfortunate as that would be, the bigger picture is everyone's safety and health.

We are still hopeful for the 2020 season, and as such we request that the athletes are still working hard and staying in shape. To help facilitate that, we have created some online resources for the kids to log onto to get workouts from coaches and any other messages for the team. They are created through GoogleClassroom so kids are familiar with the format. Below are the codes the athletes need to sign into their respective page.

Outdoor Track season starts Monday March 9th! Practice at 3:30 on the “cake”. Please remember to have a current physical, emergency information and all Family ID information completed online. Family ID can be found on the district website under the Activities department.

2019 BYU and Evanston Meet

2019 State Indoor Track

From a balmy 78 degrees on Saturday to just beating a snowstorm on Tuesday, here are some of our distance runners competing at Lyman. The coaches sure are proud of these kids for showing their grit and determination facing some cold and windy weather.

Some photos of our spring break meet at Desert Hills in Saint George Utah. 78 degrees and no wind make for a beautiful track meet. Maya approved with the "two finger" approval sign. (A little throwers inside joke)

Some distance action at Utah Valley University. First meet the runners were able to participate in the steeple chase.

Been a busy couple weekends with Spring Break mixed in between. Get ready for a huge photo dump from our meets at Utah Valley University, Desert Hills in St. George, and Lyman this past Tuesday before the snow hit. The kids just keep getting better and better each day. Most every athlete keeps hitting new personal best records and we have some state pre-qualifiers already, with a few top marks in the state sprinkled in there. Have to say we're proud to be a Red Devil

Red Devil Track and Field pig tickets are now available. Enter to win a half pig, fully processed, wrapped, and cryo-froze and ready for delivery. Also chances to win dinner at Bon Rico's, and movie tickets to Aspen Cinema's. We would like to give many thanks and urge everyone to support Bridger Valley Buffalo in Lyman for graciously donating the pig, the fine folks at Bon Rico's here in Evanston for all of their support, and the wonderful owners and staff at Aspen Cinemas for everything they do to help and support Evanston athletics and the kids. If you are interested in tickets drop us a line on here or contact Roy Barker at the high school and we'll get someone to you right away. Ticket prices are 1 ticket for $5 or 3 tickets for $10.

The drawing will take place this Friday, March 29th. Winners will be contacted shortly after that.

This is what it’s all about.

Coach Fackrell came prepared for practice today. His feet aren’t getting wet. Little by little the snow is melting away. The kids are working hard even though the conditions aren’t the best. Our next meet is this coming Saturday at Utah Valley University.

On your marks......set........BANG! Cristofer Periman starting off the 4x400m relay. They finished 4th overall with a time of 3:40.71. Not bad for the first meet and asking Our sophomore Stetson Wiedrich to step up and run. Good job men.

We finally found our shot put and discus rings. I think another day and the snow will be gone? What do you think?

The scheduled track meet this Friday March 22nd in Lyman has been cancelled due to weather. Please pass word along to anyone who may not see this post.

EHS T&F throwers out inspecting their shot put area today. Think we still have a little wait ahead of us. By the time they dug their feet down to solid ground most of them were to their knees or deeper. But it did make for an epic snowball fight!

UCSD #1 maintenance crews have been hard at work trying to get the track clear of all the snow for our outdoor season. They are reporting drifts as high as 6’ on the corners. The kids are excited to get outside.
