Regarding the recent campus changes, we want to share some important announcements with our user base regarding fall operations.
1. Any eo rider who is unable to return to campus and has already ordered a bike can request a full refund by emailing us at [email protected]
2. Instead of campus pickups, we will be delivering bikes directly to you for contactless drop off! We will deliver as closely to the selected pickup time as possible (within a one hour period). To place an order, please visit ridewitheo.com

Welcome to our second post in the 𝗲𝗼 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀! We’d love to show you who we are and why we’re passionate about eo. Today, meet one of our co-founders — Drake!

“The idea for eo actually came my sophomore year as part of a NUvention class called Innovate for Impact. I had learned from experience that getting around campus could be hard. I had purchased my own bike but eventually had it stolen. Through this class, we were able to investigate this problem in an academic setting and really dive into user interviews and figure out what the core problem was and then doing the research and ideation to realize how to solve it.

We assembled the initial team in the spring of 2018 and we starting working out of the Garage to help bring this idea to life. After testing and smaller pilots in the fall, we started to gain more traction and we ended up launching our full-scale pilot this past spring. 𝙄 𝙘𝙖𝙣’𝙩 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙞𝙣 𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙖𝙬𝙚𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚 𝙞𝙩 𝙛𝙚𝙡𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩 𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚 𝙄 𝙨𝙖𝙬 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙧𝙞𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙥𝙪𝙧𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙤𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚 𝙗𝙞𝙠𝙚𝙨. It was honestly surreal.

The reason we all spend so much time over the summer and throughout the school year on this is because it’s a meaningful cause and we really believe in our solution.

The job is not totally stress-free but it is so genuinely rewarding to spend my time at NU helping the community get around better.”

"As an international student, I always remember when I just came to the States, how hard the decision was about whether to buy a bike for more than $200 or to try to get around on my feet. I realized a bike was too expensive so I ended up dreading having to walk every day from my south dorm to Tech for 9 am's.

I came across eo on Facebook and immediately wanted to be part of it -- I thought it was a great idea for a business and loved the impact it could have for our fellow students. Providing an alternative mode of transportation that is available for all students sounded like something that I really wanted to devote my efforts toward.

I've been a part of eo for over half a year now, and it has been one of my favorite experiences at NU. As the head of Operations and Finance, I'm trying my best to keep the service running efficiently and smoothly every day. My hope is that every student Northwestern will use eo -- something I wished existed the first day I arrived on campus."
