As Greek-letter organizations continue to combat the stigma associated with our groups on campus, Sigma Chi is changing the entire landscape through certified leadership educational courses provided by SCLI — including Sigma Chi's new Transformational Leader program — entirely funded and supported by the Sigma Chi Foundation. On top of that, with rising educational costs, more of our brothers are seeking academic scholarship aid and grant support. Please join us in wishing a very Happy 93rd Birthday to past Foundation Chairman, Governor Emeritus, Order of Constantine Sig and Significant Sig John D. Peterson, INDIANA 1955.

Brother Peterson joined the Foundation’s Board of Governors in 1987 and was honored as Governor Emeritus in May 2025 following 38 years of dedicated service. His tenure was the second-longest in Board history, surpassed only by that of his father, the late 38th Grand Consul, past Foundation Chairman, Order of Constantine Sig and Significant Sig J. Dwight Peterson, INDIANA 1919, who served from 1944 to 1987.

Happy Birthday, Brother Peterson, and thank you for your extraordinary lifetime of leadership, loyalty and service to Sigma Chi!
