Sigma Chapter's Elizabeth O'Conor helped out with the Hot Meals program at Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Chicago. The program occurs every Saturday and helps homeless and low-income individuals who are in need of a meal. We love giving back to the community, and Elizabeth did just that!

Hello everyone! This Giving Tuesday, the global day of giving, the members of Delta Gamma Sigma Chapter are writing to encourage you to consider donating to Northwestern University Dance Marathon (NUDM), one of the largest student-run
philanthropies in the nation. In the past 43 years, NUDM has raised over $19 million for over 30 charitable organizations.
Each year, DG teams up with the Zeta Beta Tau fraternity to fundraise for NUDM. In 2017, we raised over $170,000. This year, we have challenged ourselves to surpass last year’s total in order to help support thousands of families in poverty. Almost all DGs participate in NUDM by fundraising, dancing and/or serving on the NUDM committees.
This year's beneficiary, Cradles to Crayons Chicago, provides children from birth through age 12, living in homeless or low-income situations, with the essential items they need to thrive –at home, at school and at play. This year the NUDM community pledged to raise over $100,000 on Giving Tuesday in order to completely fund Cradles to Crayons’ Gear Up for Winter initiative by providing 10,000 coats to children in need. To give you an idea, each coat costs only $10. To put this in perspective, $40 can sponsor coats for a family of four, $250 can provide coats for a classroom of children, and $2,500 can provide coats for an entire school!
We cannot do this alone. We need your help to raise money for this amazing cause, and we'd appreciate any donations you could possibly give. This Giving Tuesday, all transaction fees on our secure donation page (link below) will be waived so 100% of your donation will go toward Cradles to Crayons. Thank you so much!

Special shoutout to several of the members of DG Sigma Chapter: Nina Holl, Madison Rinder, and Kamya Bijawat. These three ladies received an award from the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences for being in the top three juniors in either the humanities, social sciences, or natural sciences. Out of the 9 recipients, 3 of them were Delta Gamma's! We're so proud of you three, keep up the good work ladies!

Delta Gamma was horrified to learn of the appalling violence that occurred in Las Vegas late last night. We are working with our alumnae and collegiate leaders in the area to understand the magnitude of how our sisters have been affected by this tragedy.
Please join us in keeping all those who were present, and their families, in your hearts as more information continues to surface: http://nbcnews.to/2xPqPO4
