NU Speech Team

The Northwestern Speech team traveled to beautiful Muncie, IN for the 51st Age of Aquarius at Ball State University… our first tournament of the season!

In addition to the team placing 1st, we were awarded the Benson & Hedges traveling team award. This is a legacy trophy scored from all previous Age of Aquarius tournaments. It is Northwestern’s first time receiving this honor.

To our devoted followers, we are sorry for not posting results or updates all season! Despite being online 24/7 for the last year, it slipped our mind. The team is sending seven students to NFA Nationals on Friday!! To celebrate, we are hosting a “Night Before Nationals” tomorrow, April 15th at 7PMCST. Come watch 5 dynamic performances from the current team!! (Note: it will probably only go 7-8pmCST).

The team has been through a lot recently, from restructuring as a student organization, to competing online, to that month where we all got VERY into the Zoom Sunglasses filter… yet we have persevered! Any support or nostalgia as we head into the final days of the season are appreciated.
