The Wyoming Public Health Lab has notified the Wyoming Department of Health Epidemiology and Infectious Disease Unit, and Uinta County Public Health of the positive case of SARS-CoV-2 infection in a child who is enrolled at ECDC.

An investigation is underway, and close contacts are being identified. Those who were in close contact will be notified by Uinta County Public Health and be given quarantine instructions.

ECDC received this information late Sunday, 6/21/2020 evening. We were also instructed to close the center today, Monday 6/22/2020, and to wait for further instructions from the county officials. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused families, especially getting such short notice. We did post our closure on our ECDC page and called some families we felt might have missed the message. As events are happening quickly, we ask families to follow and watch for updates on our page.

We are waiting to hear about tomorrow this afternoon or evening. We will do our best to notify you as soon as possible.

A quick update on today's lock down.
We want to thank you for your trust in us. We followed our emergency procedures and went into a full lock down because of the situation that took place at the court house. This is one of the emergency situations our staff has been trained for. Parents are always welcome to call and check on their children. Lines will always be open. Thank you for respecting the lock down and not coming to get your children. During a lock down it is best for no one to enter or exit the building. It ended once we received a phone call from authorities letting us know the suspect had been captured. It is at these moments we realize we have the most amazing staff. They truly care for each of your children. A special thank you to the Evanston Police Department and Uinta County Sheriffs office for a job well done. If you have any questions please call us.

There was a wallet found outside ECDC last week before the break. If you lost it please come to the office if you lost one and describe it to me.
