In a 2011 study, our researchers examined how maternal warmth is linked to inflammation levels for people who grew up in low socioeconomic status households. Find out more below!

In a recently published study, our researchers found that harshness of childhood environment, measured by exposure to violence and neighborhood-level murder rate, was associated with more pronounced pro-inflammatory responses and worse clinical outcomes for youths with asthma. Unpredictability of environment was not significantly related to any outcomes.
