Join us for the International Women's Day Poster Exhibition on Monday, March 2, 2026, at 5:30 PM in the University Library!
80 posters by students of 14 languages at Northwestern will be displayed, including 6 in German. This event is organized by the Outreach Committee of the Council on Language Instruction to honor the remarkable achievements of women across the globe.
The reception is co-sponsored by the CLI (Council on Language Instruction) and LRC (Language Resource Center). Refreshments and beverages will be provided.

Join our fantastic GUAB (German Undergraduate Advisory Board) along with our wonderful partners at McCormick Global Initiatives for a fun fall festival – OKTOBERFEST – on Tuesday, Oktober 28, 2025, 2025 from 5 pm – 6:30 pm in Tech L440!
Meet new and old friends, hear about the Oktoberfest and other German fall traditions, take part in a KAHOOT! quiz, paint miniature pumpkins, discuss study abroad options and what to do with German professionally, and, of course, enjoy delicious German treats and prizes!!

You are invited to join our wonderful GUAB (German Undergraduate Advisory Board), Northwestern’s German Club, and the German Department, on Monday, October 20, 2025, from 6 pm – 7 pm @ THE LAKEFILL FIREPIT for the first GUAB-organized event of the year, an exciting Lagerfeuer Nacht (Bonfire Evening)!
Roast S’mores (provided by the GUAB) & learn more about how you can get involved with the GUAB! This event counts as a cultural credit for first and second year German students! Bring your friends!
