Crazy Hair and Outfit Day brought so much fun to the Wildflower classroom today! Bright colors, silly styles, big smiles, and lots of laughter made the day extra special for everyone.
Our Honeybee Threes had such a fun learning adventure !
They read the beautiful book Does a Kangaroo Have a Mother, Too? by Eric Carle and explored the names of different baby animals together.
Then they headed outside for an exciting matching game! Each Honeybee was given a different animal and searched all around the playscape to find the hidden card with its matching baby animal. The children were so excited as they explored, searched, matched, and learned through play.
Learning + movement + sunshine = the perfect day!!
Our Honeybee Threes shared a delightful journey to the mailbox.
They paused to observe the changing season all around them, engaging their senses while traveling together safely as a group.
Each child gently placed a small creation into the mailbox—sending a piece of their imagination out into the world. Now they look forward with excitement to discovering how long it will take for their special delivery to reach home.
A simple experience rich with curiosity, awe, and connection.
A happy smile each morning can completely change the atmosphere of a room. There’s something so pure about a child’s face when they arrive—eyes bright, almost sparkling, full of warmth, curiosity, and a quiet kind of joy that doesn’t need words. It’s the kind of expression that feels like light entering the space.
Children have a way of showing us, in the most ordinary parts of daily life, what kindness really looks like. Through their hugs, their eagerness to include others, and the way they forgive so quickly, they often remind adults of things we forget in the rush of everyday life. Their openness teaches us about love without conditions, compassion without effort, and happiness found in the smallest gestures.
In many ways, they aren’t just learning from us—we are constantly learning from them too.
There’s something really meaningful about a two-year-old marking their birthday surrounded by classmates in a school setting where they feel safe and valued. At that age, children are just beginning to understand friendship, sharing attention, and being part of a group. Celebrating in a familiar, nurturing environment helps them feel a strong sense of belonging and joy.
These small moments also support early social growth—learning to take turns, notice others’ happiness, and feel celebrated as an individual within a caring community. It’s not just a party; it’s an early experience of connection, confidence, and being genuinely seen by others.
In a nature-focused, play-based school , the simplest moments often hold the deepest learning. Here, the children are fully immersed in sensory play — scooping, pouring, mixing, and creating with natural materials. What may look like “just mud” is actually rich with discovery, imagination, collaboration, and problem-solving.
Outdoor play invites children to connect with the earth using all their senses. As they work side by side, they build confidence, creativity, language, and social skills in the most meaningful way — through hands-on exploration.
There is something so special about watching children slow down, get messy, and find joy in the little things nature provides. These moments remind us that childhood learning is rooted in wonder, curiosity, and the freedom to play.
