【KAKEHASHI School Exchange!】

Students from Northwestern University and Meijo University had a virtual exchange today on May 18th.
Students talked about their life, hobbies and local attractions both in English and in Japanese, and found similarities and differences between the two countries.

イリノイ州の真ん中にあるヘンリーズ・ファームについてのドキュメンタリー映画です。ヘンリーズ・ファームは、エバンストンのファーマーズマーケットにテントを出している、環境に負荷をかけないよう配慮した「サステナブル農業」で世界のいろいろな野菜を育てている農家です。オーナーのヘンリーさんは日本に住んでいた経験もあり、日本や韓国、中国などの野菜もたくさん作っています。ドキュメンタリーに登場する娘さんのあおぞらさんはノースウェスタン大学で日本語を勉強した、みなさんの先輩です。

August Virtual Haiku Classes:
The Japanese Culture Center - 日本文化会館, is pleased to host an online Haiku workshop taught by Sensei Seiyo, Buddhist lay minister and resident Haiku master. These workshops will focus on bringing your "snapshots" alive - those moments that happen every day that go unnoticed due to the demands of life. We will also discuss the history of Haiku, some of the founding fathers of Haiku, current authors, and Jisei (death poems). Join us on this Path to awaken and return to the beginner's mind where everything is fresh, new, and possible.
