Join us this Thursday for our “Traveling while Black” panel!

Our panel of black travelers will discuss how identity and travel have intersected during their experiences exploring the world. The panel will discuss travel accessibility, cultural norms abroad, the increase of black travelers, obstacles, and racism. Audience members will be invited to as questions at the end. Andrew Gordon is an award-winning social impact entrepreneur and CEO & Founder of Includifi, an inclusion management software that helps organizations achieve their belonging and success goals. Prior to Includifi he was CEO of Diversity Abroad, a global education organization he founded in 2006. As a thought leader with a deep passion for equitable access to opportunity, he advises college & university, non-profit, and business leaders on strategies for achieving holistic success for today’s students and employees. He’s fluent in Spanish, proficient Portuguese and has studied, worked, and traveled in 60+ countries on 6 continents. Gordon's fireside chat will be led by Dr. Robin R. Means Coleman

Join Norvell at our first event of Black History Month Global Week, “What’s Poppin?” this upcoming Tuesday, February 21st! What's Poppin? is a bimonthly programming series highlighting Black Northwestern staff, faculty, and graduate/professional students' journey(s) and understanding of their role at the university. Through storytelling and casual dialogue, this program is a cornerstone for cultivating relationships within the Black community. Norvell Watts will also be part of the “Traveling while black panel discussion” on February 23rd.
