Our panel of black travelers will discuss how identity and travel have intersected during their experiences exploring the world. The panel will discuss travel accessibility, cultural norms abroad, the increase of black travelers, obstacles, and racism. Audience members will be invited to as questions at the end. The panel will include Ryan Rounds, Jessica Hunter, Aida Zeleke , Norvell Watts, and be moderated by Gerpha Gerlin

Join Norvell at our first event of Black History Month Global Week, “What’s Poppin?” this upcoming Tuesday, February 21st! What's Poppin? is a bimonthly programming series highlighting Black Northwestern staff, faculty, and graduate/professional students' journey(s) and understanding of their role at the university. Through storytelling and casual dialogue, this program is a cornerstone for cultivating relationships within the Black community. Norvell Watts will also be part of the “Traveling while black panel discussion” on February 23rd.
