Hello hello everybody!!!
The day has arrived! We are announcing our first place winner for the Best Photo Ever competition!!! Congratulations Lauren Fan for her picture entitled "Perseids // Catching Stars"!
Here's a little bit about Lauren and her thoughts on photography:
"I think carrying a camera everywhere is a bit in my blood thanks to my family, but I got more into photography during college for sure. Coupled with my film major and getting involved with things like PWild and the Chinese Students Association my freshman year, it just became a good outlet for exploration and getting the hang of manual functions and all. Mostly I love being able to bring people together through capturing happy shared experiences!
I’m from the Bay Area and am a Radio/TV/Film major pursuing the Segal design certificate here. I’d love to see (and of course photograph) the Northern Lights someday!"
Congrats Lauren, we think that the color and composition in your picture is just crazy and the picture is just overall beautiful and stunning and generally dope.

Hello friends!
Today we are announcing the 2nd place winner of our 'Best Photo Ever' Comptetition: Congratulations to Joseph Lamps!!!!
Here's a little bit about Joseph:
"I'm Joseph Lamps. I am a Weinberg freshman. I'm interested in philosophy, science, and politics. I started photography in 2009 when my grandpa bought me a camera, and I've been trying to improve my photography ever since. My favorite types of photography are nature and landscape photography. He enjoys photography because unlike other art forms, the type of dedication it takes is not much more than frequently visiting pretty places at odd hours, or framing something ordinary in a unique way."
We thought his picture deserved a top spot because of his unique point of view when portraying an amazing location; basically, the picture just looks dope as hell. Congrats, Joseph!!

Hey everyone!
We just wanted to announce our winners for the Best Photo Ever Contest.
We first want to say thank you to all our entries, the turnout was better than we could have imagined and we hope that you enter our next context and spread the word about it to your friends!
Without further ado, meet our third place winner: Jeffrey Wang!!!
Jeffrey is a sophomore in the school of comm. Here's a little about his background in photography:
"I started out using my friends' cameras to make skateboarding and surfing videos in high school, and also used my phone a lot to shoot and post to Instagram. I finally got my first camera after high school, and moving to Chicago and being able to shoot the amazing architecture in the city has been great. I've been lucky enough to have friends who share the same passion for photography, and I love going on adventures and documenting our experiences."
We absolutely loved the color and composition of his picture of a tree and the starry night sky. Congratulations!!
