☀️💦 Our Little Panthers had a fantastic Water Play Day and Picnic! From splashing, laughing, and cooling off in the sunshine to sharing a picnic with friends, it was the perfect way to celebrate a wonderful year together.

🎨🪨 In memory of Mr. Fernando, whose positivity and spirit of service touched so many, Mrs. Contreras and her art students decorated rocks and dedicated them to Mr. Fernando’s Garden. Fr. Jean-Philippe offered a special blessing for the garden. This colorful tribute serves as a lasting reminder of Mr. Fernando’s kindness, joyful presence, and dedication to others. 💙 💛

Our 4th and 5th grade students took public transportation to Lighthouse Landing as part of an Evanston Ecology Center program focused on orienteering. Students learned how to navigate using maps, landmarks, and directional skills while exploring the natural environment along the lakefront. We are proud of our Panthers for embracing the adventure and representing Pope John XXIII School so well! 💙💛

Congratulations to the Pope John XXIII School Class of 2026! ✨🎓 Yesterday, we celebrated the graduation of our 8th grade class and the many accomplishments they have achieved during their time at PJ23. We are proud of the leaders, scholars, athletes, artists, and friends they have become, and we pray that they continue to grow in faith, knowledge, and service. Once a Panther, always a Panther! 💙💛

Celebrating a very special honor for our own preschool teacher, Joanna Oliva! Joanna was recognized as a “Zero to Five Hero” by the Child Care Network of Evanston for her excellence in early childhood education. Her care, creativity, and dedication help our youngest learners grow with confidence, curiosity, and joy each day. We are so proud of this well-deserved recognition and grateful for the love and passion she brings to our school community! 💙💛

CNE - Childcare Network of Evanston

Our middle school scientists recently explored anatomy and biology through a series of dissections in the science lab, including cow eyes, mice, and fetal pigs. Students worked collaboratively, asked thoughtful questions, and gained a deeper understanding of the structures and systems that make living things work. Experiences like these bring science to life and inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and discovery at Pope John XXIII School!

Happy 90th Birthday to Fr. Bob! 🎉Our students were grateful to celebrate this special milestone by singing for him and sharing cards, songs, and birthday joy. Thank you, Fr. Bob, for the love, faith, and kindness you continue to bring to our community. 💛💙🎶
