Chiaravalle is hiring a part-time Learning Resources Teacher for the 2026–27 school year.

This morning position supports students in grades K–8 through individualized literacy and math intervention in a collaborative, student-centered environment. We’re especially interested in educators with Montessori experience and structured literacy training (Wilson, Orton-Gillingham, SLANT) and a passion for helping students grow with confidence.

With deep sadness, we share the passing of beloved longtime Chiaravalle Montessori teacher Rosita Thompson, who died in January at the age of 94.

For more than 30 years, Rosita devoted herself to Chiaravalle’s students and families, including 22 years as a Toddler Head Teacher. Her warmth, wisdom, and profound respect for young children left a lasting impact on generations of students, colleagues, and parents.

Many in our community still carry memories of Rosita’s calm presence, gentle guidance, and extraordinary care. Her legacy lives on in the lives she helped shape.

Our hearts are with Rosita’s family and loved ones. ❤️

Chiaravalle has turned 60 — and our students were eager to be part of the celebration! Today, Elementary and Middle School students flashed back to the 1960s for the day, imagining how much has changed while also treasuring what has remained constant in our community over the decades.

A big night for Chiaravalle readers! 🏆📚

Chiaravalle Elementary teams had a standout night at this year’s interscholastic Battle of the Books at the Evanston Public Library, competing against teams from Saints JFX School, Roycemore, and Pope John XXIII School.

Chiaravalle teams placed first and third overall, earned the highest total score across all schools, and proudly brought home the trophy.

Battle of the Books brings students together around thoughtful, engaging literature while building teamwork, focus, and a genuine love of reading. We’re so proud of the preparation, collaboration, and confidence our students brought to the competition.
