American Defensive Driving School - ADDS

We are looking for qualified people to join our team as Driver Education Instructors. The ideal people include teachers, retirees, stay at home parents, and those seeking part-time flexible hours. ADDS is looking for both classroom and behind-the-wheel instructors. Must be enthusiastic about working with teen drivers and understand the importance of safe defensive driving.

Teaching Experience (preferred)

We are looking for drivers for in-car instruction for new student drivers. Driving Instructors will provide detailed instruction on safe driving techniques and ensuring students understand the rules of the road. Must be professional and have a valid drivers license in Illinois.

Will conduct Behind-the-Wheel sessions and evaluate the students driving abilities in varying traffic situation. All BTW's are 1.5 hours.

We offer flexible scheduling for daytime, evenings, and weekends.

Both students and instructors must practice safety measures against Covid-19 by wearing masks during the entire session. Each Driving Instructor is required to disinfect the car after each session.

Driver Education The Cooperative Driver Testing Program allows state-certified driver education instructors to administer the behind-the-wheel road exams to their driver education students. Instructor administered tests are regulated and approved by the Office of the Secretary of State. Students must:
