One week before receiving their diplomas, several of our Work-Based Learning students signed “offer letters” from their employers to join the team full-time as they enter the workforce following graduation as part of Workforce Signing Day. Congratulations to these students and huge thank you to our WBL business partners for offering these engaging opportunities for our students!

Help us spread the word about our Little Knights Stomp & Shake Cheer Camp! This camp is perfect for kids who want to learn cheers, chants, motions, jumps, and a fun routine while being coached by the Evans High School Basketball Cheerleaders.

Before the school year came to a close, we recognized over 300 pathway completers at our 5th annual CTAE Celebration Awards. These students completed a series of three career-related courses to gain knowledge and hands-on skills they can take directly to the workforce in the areas of healthcare, welding, business management, and many more. Of those students, eight completed three pathways, and 74 students completed two pathways during their time at EHS!

Also at this event, our CTAE Advisory Board, founded in 1995 and unique to EHS, awarded $7,000 in scholarships to CTAE Pathway Completers pursuing post-secondary education in their pathway. We are grateful to our business partners for their support of our CTAE programs and proud of our CTAE teachers for everything they do to get our students career and college ready!

From the Columbia County School District, "The CCSD Aspiring Principals course prepares assistant principals for school-level leadership through a yearlong program of monthly sessions, leadership training, and real-world application. Participants collaborate, engage in critical discussions, and complete a capstone project presenting a school improvement plan to the Superintendent’s Executive Cabinet."

Mr. Holtzner recently completed this program and we are proud of him! Thank you, Mr. Holtzner, for continuing to learn and grow as an administrator so you can help our students and staff do the same!
