💙 We’ve had a wonderful start to our Grandparents' Breakfast celebrations at Riverside Elementary!

Yesterday, we welcomed our kindergarten grandparents, and today our 1st-grade students enjoyed a special morning with their grandparents. Guests and students shared a delicious breakfast, worked together on special placemats, and made lasting memories. The cafeteria and media center were filled with smiles, laughter, and plenty of picture-worthy moments!

Thank you to all of our grandparents who joined us and helped make these mornings so special. We cherish the opportunity to celebrate the important role grandparents play in our students’ lives.

We look forward to continuing the fun tomorrow with our 2nd- and 3rd-grade students and grandparents, followed by our 4th- and 5th-grade breakfast on Thursday! 💙

Today, Riverside Elementary celebrates and thanks Mr. Jawun for the incredible support he provides to our students, staff, and school every day.

From troubleshooting technical issues to keeping our devices and systems running smoothly, Jawun helps ensure learning continues without interruption. We are grateful for his hard work, dedication, and willingness to always lend a helping hand.

In science, our K students have been learning all about their five senses. On Friday, they put their sense of taste to the test with a fun experiment! They explored four different tastes—salty, sweet, sour, and bitter—and had fun discovering how each one tasted.

And the fun didn’t stop there! Our students have also been working hard to fill their Star Jars by making good choices, showing kindness, and being responsible learners. ⭐️ Their hard work earned them a special reward—Stuffed Animal Day!

We love watching our little dolphins learn, explore, make great choices, and shine each day!

Today, we are pleased to recognize two incredible ladies who give so much to our RES community each and every day! We are truly blessed to have them on our team.

Mrs. Inglett is our August Staff Member of the Month. We are so lucky that she is the first smiling face to greet our families each day! She is absolutely amazing and does so much behind the scenes to keep our school running smoothly and keep us all on track. Her dedication, dependability, and willingness to help always make such a difference at RES.

Ms. Armstrong is our August Teacher of the Month. She brings so much energy, love, and joy to her Pre-K classroom! She pours her heart into her students and creates a place where they can grow and shine. She is also always willing and ready to jump in and help wherever she is needed. Her heart for our students and our school truly shines through in all she does.

These two beautiful ladies are so deserving of this recognition! We are incredibly grateful for all they do to help make Riverside Elementary such a special place.

Today, we celebrated some very special Dolphins at our Donuts with Principals celebration! Our August students were recognized for demonstrating the trait POSITIVE—bringing encouragement, kindness, and a bright attitude to our school each day.

We are so proud of the way these students help illuminate minds and inspire futures by being a positive light for those around them!
