Wednesday and Thursday this week, we hosted our annual Kindercamp at EMPS! We had more than 60 students join us to learn about kindergarten. They played, made friends, had snacks, and rode a bus. They were amazing and we are looking forward to a great year with them!

Parents even got in on the learning in our parent meeting where we talked about what kindergarten looks like at EMPS.

Placement letters went into the mail today. You should expect them in your mailboxes by the end of the week!

Our partnership with our Food Services team helps us make sure that students have breakfast and lunch each day AND they coordinate snacks for our after school programs.

We were excited to help test out some new menu items this spring!

We found some squash bees happily pollinating our pumpkin plants this morning!

Squash bees are specialist pollinators, who rely almost exclusively on squash squash. Male squash bees don’t have stingers and females rarely sting.

Fun Fact Friday:

Mrs. McCullouch (our building principal)’s dad was a student at EMPS 50 years ago! It was fun giving him a tour of the building, hearing his stories about when he was a student, and finding out what has changed since he was here.
