Thousands of Bibles are being placed into the hands of church leaders in Kenya!

This week, Executive Director Karen Elliott and Outreach Manager Steve Kranz are at Kabarak University in Nakuru, Kenya, for the Anglican Church of Kenya’s All Clergy Conference. They will help distribute 5,000 Reformation Study Bibles to pastors and church leaders!

We are grateful to be serving alongside Ligonier Ministries, whose team provided the Bibles and is helping with the distribution. This partnership has made it possible for thousands of pastors and seminarians across Africa to receive trusted, gospel-centered resources for studying and teaching God’s Word.

Rafiki is also bringing Rafiki Bible Study materials, Sunday school resources, curriculum samples, and Bible commentaries to share with the Anglican Church of Kenya.

Please pray for the conference, the participants, and the Bibles and resources being placed into the hands of those who will use them to teach God’s Word to the next generation. May the Lord use his Word to strengthen his Church in Kenya!

Every Rafiki student's road to school looks a little different. Some walk, some are brought by their grandparents on motorcycles, and others pile into vans with fellow students. But they all arrive for the same thing: a classical Christian education, open to every child. 💛

Home Office staff had the great joy today of witnessing the commissioning of two new missionary families! For the past two weeks, the Bannans and Rickers have participated in “survival camp,” where they received training on Rafiki’s programs, observed classes at Rafiki Classical Academy, completed work projects, and prepared for life and ministry in Africa.

Now, they look forward to departing for Africa, where God has called them to serve through Rafiki.

We are excited to see how the Lord uses these two families to grow his kingdom and advance classical Christian education throughout Africa. To God be the glory!

There’s something special about spending time with the widows at the Rafiki Exchange. ❤️

Their stories, strength, laughter, and faith are a beautiful reminder that life’s greatest gifts are often found in community and connection.

We’re so grateful for the opportunity to share a little time, a few conversations, and a lot of love with these remarkable women.

"God has gifted me with an environment where I am free to spend more time with Him.”

For Trinity, serving with Rafiki has been an opportunity not only to serve students and teachers but also to grow in her own walk with the Lord. As she works alongside the Rafiki team, trains teachers, builds relationships, and learns to serve in a new culture, God is using her time in Liberia to shape her in unexpected ways.

Short-term missions is an opportunity to come alongside Rafiki’s ministry in Africa, serve with other missionaries, encourage teachers and students, and use your gifts to further the work God is doing.

If you have ever wondered whether God might be calling you to missions, consider taking the first step.

Pray, learn more, and explore the opportunity to serve as a short-term missionary!

Sometimes the most precious moments in a classroom are the ones a teacher does not plan. In Uganda, Teacher Gracious witnessed one such moment when a young student took unexpected initiative. Enjoy her story below!

“One remarkable thing I observed a preschool student do was leading the prayer. It all happened during snack time when one of the stubborn students told his fellow students to fold their hands, bow their heads, and close their eyes so that they could talk to God. What amazed me the most was that he did so without the teacher’s instruction. He only realized that they had to thank God for the snack, and so he prayed. His prayer was so rich—he thanked God for the snack and prayed that they could get energy to do what pleases God. It left me speechless that all I could say was, ‘Wow!’ because it was my first time to see an EC1 child praying even better than some adults. What made this moment remarkable was Jason’s sense of responsibility and confidence at such a young age.”

A new school year is underway at Rafiki Classical Academy!

Today, new and returning students gathered with their families, along with new and returning faculty, for Convocation—a special opportunity to celebrate the beginning of another year of learning, growth, and fellowship.

Dr. Robert Littlejohn joined as the guest speaker to share encouragement as the new school year begins. Continuing a cherished tradition begun by Rosemary Jensen, Karen Elliott also presented Bibles to the children, reminding us that while we pursue excellence in education, God’s Word remains at the heart of everything we do.

After the students headed to class, families and other guests were invited to stay for a Q&A with Dr. Littlejohn about education and the important work of cultivating students through a classical Christian education.

Please pray for the students, families, and faculty of Rafiki Classical Academy as they begin a new school year!
